TRIDENT® HEXHALE® PAPR In Action: How Industree Group is Raising the Bar in Respiratory Protection

When North Queensland drilling contractor Eagle Drilling NQ set out to lift their respiratory protection game, they didn’t just upgrade—they partnered with Industree Group and distributor Alliance Safety Equipment to lead the industry forward.
At the heart of their safety transformation is Industree Group’s TRIDENT® HEXHALE® Complete PAPR System RTC5000 —a full-face powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) developed by Industree Group to meet the real-world challenges of dusty, high-risk environments like RC (reverse circulation) drilling.
Originally designed for the tunnelling sector, the TRIDENT® HEXHALE® PAPR range quickly found its place in open-air operations, where dust exposure is a daily reality. Unlike traditional P2 masks, the TRIDENT® HEXHALE® PAPR uses a positive pressure air system that pushes clean, filtered air across the face, creating a protective barrier that prevents contaminants from entering.
“There’s no question—the performance of the TRIDENT® HEXHALE® RTC5000 has changed the way workers think about respiratory gear,” said Jayden Minto, Regional Business Development Manager at Industree Group. “It doesn’t require users to be clean-shaven or fit-tested, and that removes a lot of the admin and compliance headaches.”
Eagle Drilling NQ General Manager Sally Forgan agreed. “Every RC rig we operate now runs with TRIDENT® HEXHALE® PAPR units, and the crews wear them without issue. They know it’s part of their kit—it keeps them safe, and it works.”
To ensure the right fit, Eagle involved their team in hands-on trials. Industree Group and distribution partner Alliance Safety Equipment presented multiple PAPR options, with the TRIDENT® HEXHALE® PAPR RTC5000 quickly emerging as the preferred solution. With extended battery life, fog-resistant visors, and a rugged build designed for field conditions, the RTC5000 delivers comfort and protection—even in North Queensland’s heat and humidity.
The collaboration is a strong example of Industree Group’s customer-first approach. “We don’t just deliver a product—we listen, we learn from the field, and we improve,” said Jayden. “In fact, the feedback we received from users like Eagle Drilling directly influenced our latest innovations, including a custom headlamp attachment and a prototype with the blower unit fully integrated into the helmet.”
